Dragoslav Pavlović was born in 1979 in Niš, Serbia. He graduated from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at the University of Niš, specializing in Industrial Power Engineering, and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering.
He began his professional career in the electric power sector, holding numerous management positions, including Technical Director of the Niš Electricity Distribution Company and Director of the Planning and Investment Sector for the Niš Distribution Area of Elektrodistribucija Srbije, Serbia’s electricity distribution company. Throughout his career, he has participated in the planning and implementation of major infrastructure and investment projects in southeastern Serbia.
From 2016 to 2017, he served as Assistant Mayor of Niš for Economic Development and Investments. During this period, he was involved in the preparation and implementation of major investment projects by international companies, as well as initiatives aimed at economic development and attracting foreign investment. In 2017, he was a member of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Niš at a meeting with representatives of China’s National Development and Reform Commission. In 2019, he participated in the Smart Cities Forum in Shenzhen, China.
From 2017 to 2021, he served as Director of Mediana, the public utility company in Niš, overseeing equipment modernization, the digitalization of operational processes, and improvements in municipal services.
From 2021 until his election as Mayor, he served as Director of the Planning and Investment Sector for the Niš Distribution Area of Elektrodistribucija Srbije, contributing to the implementation of major projects in energy infrastructure and industrial development.
He has received several awards in recognition of his professional and public contributions, including the First Class Order of Saint Roman of Đunis, awarded by the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Niš.
He was elected Mayor of Niš on 13 August 2024.
He is married and has two sons.
